I have seen a lot on my travels, but this has made me very sad and thoughtful. To see how families live in a cemetery, children who live among graves are things that leave no one cold. We had collected a few extra things in Germany to distribute them but the hands that stretched out against us were just too many. Still, seeing the gratitude and joy is only a small consolation, knowing it's only for a moment and not solving the problem makes our everyday problems look like nothing. We saw a lot of poverty and misery today. But laughing laughs, I know some donate a few euros at Christmas, but I can tell you that does not matter much here because most organizations work very uneconomically.
